The project began and initially, we started building the MVP of the software with only the core feature to check product market fit. Our team of Analysts researched the competitors across other countries and regions to formulate the list of features for this application. We first went ahead with 17 core functionalities that would make this app ready to launch for a definite number of users. We built the MVP over the next 5 months, tested the features, and rolled out functionalities faster so that the MVP can be brought to market within as little time as possible.Â
The client then tested the product for the next 6 months and to his surprise, he received immense traction from the users. They wanted a full-fledged application and that’s when the client decided to go ahead and build the complete software version. When this decision was taken, we assembled a team of 3 Web Developers, 2 Testers, 1 Designer, and 1 Project Manager to facilitate the software development process. We implemented the agile software development method so that the smart irrigation system could be developed, tested, and rolled out faster.
It took us 10 more months to implement the remaining functionalities and after almost 2 years of collaboration, we built a smart irrigation system that would help anyone to optimize water availability through custom-developed mechanisms.Â
Our client is in the agricultural sector and runs a large-scale business across various regions in the United States. One of the key challenges of agriculture is to have an optimized irrigation setup so that the crop receives the best amount of water for a healthy harvest. He observed a gap in the agricultural space regarding irrigation system improvement that no one was addressing.Â
So, he thought of a business opportunity to build a smart software system based on IOT technology that can regulate the optimal supply of irrigation to crops across farming lands operated by thousands of farmers. Now since our client was a non-techy individual, he partnered with one of his friends who was into software and the business side of things.Â
Together they partnered with ChromeInfo Technologies and then began our journey of building a smart irrigation-based software system. Our team assisted the client in building the complete blueprint of the project with precise milestones and they started off the project once all requirements were precisely defined.
