The project started with the business analysis phase where we sat down with the client to understand their precise set of requirements. We curated a detailed project plan and defined all the modules for the automated sales tax software. We also collaborated with the client extensively over one month to understand UAE corporate tax laws related to e-commerce sales.Â
Based on that, we created a list of guidelines to be implemented while building the software. Then started the UI/UX designing phase which lasted for more than 3 months. In this, we created 5 different mock-ups for the web portal and presented the client for feedback.Â
Based on client feedback, we finalized one of them, modified it according to requirements, and rolled it out for development. We continued the frontend and backend development in parallel and also carried out the testing side by side. By implementing the agile working methodology, we streamlined the entire software development process and built the e-commerce sales taxation software within planned deadlines.Â
Our client is a serial entrepreneur who runs multiple businesses. He has created businesses across 7+ industries but with the growth of e-commerce businesses, he wanted to create a business around the industry pain points. They did extensive research and analyzed the market.Â
The observation was that e-commerce business owners face multiple challenges while handling sales tax-related aspects, especially in the UAE region. So, he decided to build a SaaS software platform that would help e-commerce business owners simplify sales taxation-related aspects and allow the business owners to focus more on scaling their business.
