We created a customized file management system using the CakePHP technology that would help real estate enterprises efficiently manage all their documents and files in one centralized place. Using this web portal, real estate agents and employees can upload, maintain, edit, and share important property documents as needed. All the files were stored in Google Cloud so that they could be accessed anywhere and anytime. We worked on this project for 8 months and built the system from scratch.
The client had a clear understanding of the requirements and our business analysts helped frame the requirements into measurable modules. A team of 1 designer, 2 developers, and 1 tester were deployed to create this web platform which later went on to become one of the widely used file management systems for real estate businesses across New Zealand.
Our client is passionate about real estate and actively invests in multiple properties across residential and commercial units. He has been a real estate investor for 15 years and over this duration, he came across multiple realtors and real estate companies through which he invested in numerous properties. While interacting with these people, he observed a fundamental issue in the real estate sector that no one was addressing.Â
It was the problem of inefficient file and document management since real estate brokers and companies had to maintain huge documentation about all aspects. Seeing this, he approached his business partner who was a tech entrepreneur and together they came up with the idea of creating a customized file management system for real estate enterprises. Both approached ChromeInfo Technologies and we sat down with them to understand the scope of work and curated a detailed roadmap to build a web application using modern technologies.Â
