Executive Summary

We built this Agricultural IOT system for our client who wanted to transform his farming business through technology. This platform consists of a web and mobile application on the software side that’s driven by real-time data obtained from sensors on the hardware side.

Using this platform, farmers can monitor the quality of their crops, soil, and environment by getting real-time insights through custom dashboards and reports.

To accomplish this project, we deployed a team of 8 experts for areas like Business Analysis, Designing, Web App Development, Mobile App Development, Software and Hardware Integration, Quality Assurance, and Project Management. We collaborated heavily with agricultural experts on the client side to build a robust and reliable IOT solution that would transform the way our client does farming. The project lasted for 3 years and we ended up building one of the most advanced IOT platforms for crop analysis and management.

Through this platform, our client was able to optimize resource utilization, maximize crop yields, reduce negative environmental impacts, increase profitability, and comply with all agricultural regulations effectively.

About the Client

Our client is one of the biggest agricultural producers in Africa and is a tech enthusiast. He wanted to streamline his farming business through technology by building a crop monitoring and management IOT system. The core functionality of this system would be to optimize the quality of the final harvest for better yields and profitability when supplied to wholesalers. The client then encountered ChromeInfotech and we helped him in refining the idea.

We sat with the client to understand the bigger vision and then formulated precise requirements. Based on that, we curated a plan to first go ahead with building an MVP and then a full-fledged application. The client agreed on this and we started the MVP building phase. Once we saw success with that, we then proceeded to build the complete application.
