In this project, our team of AI experts worked on developing a mobile and web based platform that uses speech recognition and AI/NLP inferences to convert clinician dictations into structured medical documents which require minimal manual intervention. Through the mobile app, healthcare providers/professionals can dictate their entire patient encounters while through the web application, they can review, correct and approve the AI-generated transcripts’ content before it is sent to the electronic medical records system.
The highlight of this project is the AI inference engine that understands medical language, extracts key fields, populates the EMR/EHR system, and improves the accuracy of generating on-point transcriptions. Through this software application, the client was able to reduce healthcare costs significantly.
Our client runs a dictation notes and transcription business specifically catering to the healthcare sector. He assists practitioners in clinical documentation-related aspects and identifies a gap in the market that no one was catering in a specific way. He identified that with the rise of AI and automation, hospitals, clinics and independent practitioners can leverage AI models, ML and NLP techniques to automate the way digital; patient transcriptions are generated and also how they can be easily connected to the EHR/EMR system to streamline patient records.
He wanted to make AI-assisted workflows mainstream in clinical documentation and connected with the ChromeInfotech team where our experts helped him create the complete project roadmap and blueprint for bringing the application idea to real life.
